MANAGEMENT GUIDE · TERVALI
How to start a process assessment.
The first deliverable is a shared understanding of what happens today.

Pick an observable scope
“Improving management” is too broad to start a project. Choose a process with a recognizable beginning and end, such as the information handoff between two departments. Define who performs it, who receives it and who can decide on changes.
Compare the plan with reality
Gather the existing documentation and observe how the work actually happens. Record questions, exceptions and repeated tasks. The goal is to understand the work system, without automatically blaming an individual.
Turn the assessment into decisions
Organize the findings by operational impact, dependencies and implementation effort. For each priority, define an owner, a deliverable and a way to verify adoption. This foundation guides the scope of the next project.
